Lucas Beckmann has joined global reinsurance giant Munich Re in a new position as Chief Underwriting Officer (CUO) Casualty for Lloyd’s & Bermuda Markets and Global Clients.
Beckmann has over fifteen years of experience working with Munich Re in various roles.
He most recently served as the CUO for Munich Re Facultative & Corporate. His other roles include CUO of Non-Life Asia, Pacific & Africa; and Senior Executive of Casualty for Germany, Asia/Pacific and Afrika.
Beckmann served as the Vice President for Casualty at reinsurer Swiss Re prior to working at Munich Re.
He worked at GE Insurance Solutions before Swiss Re in various roles that include Casualty Head of Continental Europe and Senior Casualty Underwriter for Global Clients.
Beckmann began his career as Casualty Underwriter Trainee at Gerling Allgemeine Versicherung AG.
