AXA XL, the property and casualty specialty risk division of AXA, has appointed Kerry Vitolano as Head of East, US Risk Management and Head of US Risk Management, based in New York.
In her new role, Vitolano reports to Matthew Stitham, Chief Underwriting Officer, Casualty in the Americas for AXA XL.
Vitolano will primarily lead the East Primary Casualty team, to expand AXA XL’s regional casualty business and improve support for clients with complex liability exposures. She will also serve as a resource for the team at the national level, explained the firm.
Additionally, as a member of the Americas Casualty Leadership team, Vitolano will help develop the overall Casualty strategy and promote cross-selling across different lines of business.
Lastly, she will also focus on fosterimg strategic broker partnerships to drive business opportunities and deliver comprehensive insurance solutions working across AXA XL’s Large Commercial and Specialty team in the Americas.
Vitolano has over two decades of experience in risk management and underwriting from roles at AIG, Travelers, and the ACE Group (now Chubb).
Most recently, she served at AIG as Vice President and Risk Management Branch Manager for New York and Boston. Her remit in the role included overseeing profitable books of loss-sensitive primary casualty business in the New York region.
