Aston Lark acquires AJ Insurance Services

Aston Lark has announced that it has acquired AJ Insurance.

Aston-LarkTerms of the acquisition were not disclosed. AJ Insurance has a commercial focus, specialising in construction, motor fleet, and motor trade. It says that it also has a growing property account.

Peter Blanc, group CEO of Aston Lark, said: “As soon as I met managing director John Kemp, it was clear that AJ Insurance and Aston Lark have an identical customer service ethos. In fact, we were introduced to each other by a mutual friend who thought that a deal would be a great fit – how right he was! I’m delighted that John and the team have decided to join the Aston Lark and Howden family – and I’m certain that the business will grow and thrive over the coming years.”

Aston Lark has acquired a bunch of firms this year, picking up Healthwise Group in February, Braddons in March, and UKGlobal in May. Meanwhile, Aston Lark Ireland acquired Marine & General Insurances DAC in February and Sparrow insurances this month.

This all follows the same theme from last year when the firm acquired Innovation Broking, Bainbridge Collins, Philip Williams & Company, S Johnson & Company, and the client book of Choice Benefits. Meanwhile, the firm was itself acquired by Howden in October

Regarding this new acquisition, Kemp said: “Our clients are our primary consideration.
