HDFC ERGO General Insurance has recently announced that Anuj Tyagi will be the new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective July 1, 2024.
Tyagi will be succeeding Ritesh Kumar, who served as the company’s Managing Director and CEO for 16 years.
In a recent LinkedIn post, the firm stated, “We thank Mr. Ritesh Kumar for his outstanding contributions in paving the path to success and look forward to new milestones under Mr. Tyagi’s leadership.”
Tyagi has been with HDFC ERGO for over 16 years, having joined in 2008 as a Member of the Executive Management and Head of Corporate Business. Most recently, he served as Joint Managing Director.
Before his tenure at HDFC ERGO, Tyagi worked at ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company for 8 years, starting as Manager in 1999 and then advancing to National Manager in 2002.
