Lexington Insurance, a US-based surplus lines insurer and part of AIG, has established a dedicated Financial Institutions practice and welcomed Kevin Ware as Head of Financial Institutions, LexPro.
Financial institutions are operating in a rapidly changing market, as emerging technologies, AI infrastructure investment, data-driven decision-making and evolving sources of capital create new and changing risk profiles.
As a result, Lexington’s new practice is designed to help brokers and clients navigate these changes with specialised expertise, flexible underwriting and tailored solutions.
The dedicated Financial Institutions practice will focus on supporting wholesale produced private company banks, asset managers, broker dealers, etc.
AIG has historically served financial institutions, and Lexington is expanding its solutions for the wholesale market to meet growing demand from brokers and clients for specialised mid-market solutions.
Ware commented, “Financial institutions are operating in a period of significant market transformation, as emerging technologies, AI infrastructure investment, data, and new sources of capital reshape how businesses grow and manage risk. That pace of change is creating demand for specialized underwriting expertise, responsive decision-making, and insurance solutions that can adapt to evolving client needs.”
Julia Keenan, Head of LexPro, Lexington Insurance, added, “The financial institutions sector is undergoing significant change, creating new opportunities for insurers that can combine deep underwriting expertise with responsive, tailored solutions. Kevin’s experience, industry relationships, and market knowledge make him exceptionally well positioned to help advance our strategy and support our broker partners’ evolving needs.”
