Ledger Investing, the insurtech and insurance-linked securities (ILS) focused venture-backed company, has appointed industry veteran Amy Stern from Pie Insurance as Chief Executive, Reinsurance.
With a career that spans over 25 years across the sector, Stern brings a deep degree of expertise towards her new role.
She joins the firm from Pie Insurance, where she most recently held the role of Senior Vice President, Risk & Reinsurance. Prior to that, she served as the firm’s Vice President of Reinsurance and Capital Solutions.
Before she joined Pie Insurance, Stern worked at FTI Consulting, where she served as a Managing Director.
In addition, Stern is a former AIG Chief Ceded Reinsurance Officer, a role she held for over five years.
Stern began her career in the industry by working at Zurich Insurance in New York as a VP of Group Reinsurance in 1996.
In 2002, she joined PartnerRe working in its New Solutions division, before joining Willis Re and Willis Capital Markets & Advisory in 2004.
