Digital risk processing platform Cytora has expanded its global advisory board with the addition of James Platt, in line with its vision for global growth.
Platt is a commercial insurance veteran, and has had a broad and successful career in the insurance industry from leading the big data and advanced analytics practice at BCG, before establishing the group-wide digitization initiative at re/insurance broker Aon.

Platt has formerly served as the Group Chief Operating Officer and Chief Digital Officer of Aon, first joining the company as the CEO of Data Analytics before accelerating the transition to a digital-first operating model as Group COO, and then as Chief Digital Officer.
He recently co-founded Trimstone Partners, a boutique consultancy focused on enabling strategic change across financial services.
Now, the advisory board group of Cytora consists of leaders across commercial and specialty insurance, namely, Bronek Masojada, Chair of SiriusPoint and formerly CEO of Hiscox; Kelly Lyles, board member at Convex and Howden Group; Jeffrey Hayman, Chair of R&Q Insurance Holdings and former board member of Zurich Insurance Group; John Bruno, President of Xerox; and Bill Bloom, former CIO and Head of Operations at both The Hartford and Travelers.
Along with Thomas Huerlimann, board member of Hiscox and former CEO of Zurich Global Corporate; Emmanuel Clarke, former CEO of PartnerRe and Chairman of BMS; Adrian Brown, former UK CEO RSA; Karen Green, board member of Miller Insurance Services and Phoenix Group Holdings; and Alan Morgan, former senior partner at McKinsey and head of financial services.
